Margaret's Baked Beans

8 x slices bacon
4 x large onions, sliced
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1 tbsp dry mustard powder
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
2 x can butter beans, drained
1 x can lima beans, drained
1 x can red kidney beans, drained
1 x can pork and beans

In a pan, fry bacon, cool, break into small pieces. Reserve 2 tbsp bacon fat. Sauté onions in reserved bacon fat. Add the vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, dry mustard and molasses to pan, stir for 2 minutes.

An easy recipe to put together, and great to make when at the cottage. Enjoy
Combine beans in large bowl. Mix onion mixture with beans. Pour into a 3-quart casserole dish, and sprinkle with bacon bits.
Bake at 350 for 45 – 60 minutes.
